Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s painting “The Two Fridas”.

The double self portrait of The Two Fridas painted in 1939, expressing surrealism and duality. There have been many interpretations of the painting over the years from her heartbreak, rejection and possibly her heritage. There are also musings about an imaginary friend. Her Signature style leaves everything to the imagination.

Inspired by Gustave Klimt’s painting of The Kiss. The Kiss conceals the man’s face and focuses instead on that of the woman. In this work the young woman’s facial expression and closed eyes evoke the feelings of abandonment, ecstasy and delight. Original oil on canvas with added gold leaf, silver and platinum. Created between 1907-1908

Over 7000 hand placed crystals, depicting the robe of the man on the left side with geometric patterns and swirls while splitting the right side into that of the woman’s robe, with brightly colored cluster of flowers on a bed of gold crystals. The edge is trimmed with the green knoll with purple flowers that is depicted at the bottom of the original painting.

Inspired by Guernica by Pablo Picasso. GIernica shows the tragedies of war and the suffering it inflicts upon individuals, particularly innocent civilians. Painted as Picasso’s immediate reaction to the Nazi’s bombing of the basque town Guernica during the Spanish Civil war in 1937. His most important political painting has remained relevant as a work of art and a symbol of protest.

Over 7000 hand placed crystals, 1.5” metal spikes on an open faced helmet. There are many interpretations of the symbols I used in this work. The eye, the bull and the crying mother. It’s worth a search of this fascinating piece of history and art.

Inspired by the iconic Starry Night by Vincent VanGogh. The recognizable swirls, the blues, greens and yellows, the depth of my favorite painting, my favorite painter, my favorite life story. The first helmet in the masterpiece series.

Set build with layers of interest for Canon Company. Hand made dresses, set deign and sourcing to bring to life a dress makers atelier. Using feathers to create soft movement and color to draw you in. The clients request for a set with minutiae for photographers lenses was met with feathery details, colors, textures, glamour and glitz. Hand drawn silhouettes, buttons, zippers, fabric, sewing accoutrements. Hidden elements, and surprises to delight the camera lens!
